Striped Jewel Quilt - Speckled
I have had Speckled fabric on my must make list since my last quilt pattern but I just could not pull it together. So that means I had to use it for this second pattern.
Da-da-da-dah the Woven Petals quilt.
It was July when I started designing this one and fall was on the horizon. I actually had the first idea for this quilt while at church doodling in my journal.
I felt the need to create something that was fall but not traditional fall. I wanted a blue hue in the quilt somehow. So after scouring Pinterest for fall color pallets it brought me to this pallets. Then matched it with Speckled fabrics. You can check out all of the Speckled colors offered HERE.
The fabric is the most wonderful mix of luscious color and visual texture. Shout out to Lamb and Loom fabric for getting these too me super quick during lovely COVID shipping.
The hardest part of this quilt was deciding the order of the colored columns or maybe it was the quilting. Anyway I machine quilted this on my domestic/normal sewing machine. It was so different from my normal longarm work so I enjoyed the change up.
